TAMN's post was good today. what on earth is up with mormon women and their sexualization of teenage boys? why do they think this is ok??? i understand that its a fun story, i too loved the books (mainly the first two, personally), but they are so out of control. making shirts, having countdown parties, hugging life sized cutouts of edward. freaking weirdos!! if priesthood holders were running around swooning over taylor swift we would be having serious meltdowns, but yet the relief society is having organized car rides (split according to team edward or jacob) over to the midnight showing.
please people, please!
all i can say is angie and i are SO waiting a week before we see it. i'm not losing my self respect over this one folks.

things i am currenty loving
so, annemarie emailed me and told me about a dream that she had where i had posted on my blog. haha! and so i will...
things i am currently loving:
going to the gym, where winn has far exceeded my wildest dreams and plays like such a big two year old in the child care center they have there!
the tv shows community and white collar, that are very enjoyable and never disappoint because they have no high expectations to meet (like my favorite shows the office and psych do)
thinking about being santa claus. i think my favorite thing to do in the whole world is research products online. that might be sad, but i can spend hours if i had them. things i'm looking at right now (you know, for winnie, not me!)...
bitty baby dolls from american girl (because w. loves babies and i have come to the realization that i am obsessed with dolls and must find the perfect one for her. i loved my american girl dolls so much when i was little that i found it heartbreaking to play with them for fear of messing their hair up or soiling an outfit. therefore, i have a kirsten and samantha doll in mint condition, ready for my very own daughter to someday destroy.)
usborne books (especially the farmyard tale series, the cutest books in the whole world! i love exploring all of their books and games, i could find something fun for every one of my sweet nieces and nephews.)
and lastly a bike for my winnie. when we go for afternoon walks, she watches the big kids riding their bikes with the most enormous amount of awe that i have ever witnessed in all her little life. she wants to have her own bike so bad! but, she is two. so i've been looking at our options. there are some cute tricycles of course. but we've tried some at target and i don't think it would be that fun to be crouching down pushing a tricycle around the block. they have some with handlebars in the back for parents to push, but that makes me think of a stroller and i'm so over strollers by now (but shhh don't tell "the Bob" sitting in the garage, he thinks he's worth millions).
i don't know if she's ready for them yet, but i am really digging the idea of running bikes (go and watch the video or youtube it, its so funny to see kids in action on them). they are so cute! tiny bikes without pedals, close enough to the ground that littluns can reach the ground and run while sitting on their bike. these are to be used in lou of training wheeled bikes. i think they are a great idea, teaches balance to begin with. and just look at them, they're mini bikes! i love mini things! i love oversized things! they are equally enticing.
of course it would need to be pink.
in contrast, things i currently hate:
church. though this is kind of funny... we had our ward conference last week so some stake leaderly ladies came in to watch us during the hellish two hours of my week known as nursery. that night i received a "really upbeat" email from primary leaders telling me what a !great!! !!job! they think we're doing in nursery, and how it will now be required that two parents sign up to stay in each room every week. AWESOME. they don't need to lie, i know its out of control and children are defecating and peeing on the floors and jumping off chairs and throwing toys and i would be in there even if it wasn't my calling because i would never, ever leave my child alone in those conditions (or, lets be honest, i would leave after sacrament meeting and gladly so...).
on that lovely note, here is my first post in months and months! don't expect much from me though, i am not very highly functioning so regular blogging is probably out of the question. plus, we still don't have a camera and what is the fun of a post without a cute picture? (other than the mini bikes of course).
